O LORD, as thou hast made us for thyself, such that our hearts are restless until they rest in thee; so bless SaintAugustine’s Academy, that it may be a Christian school, and may lead us so to believe in thee, that we might understand all thy truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom with thee and the Holy Ghost, be all honor and glory, world without end. Amen.

In words that come from the first lines of Saint Augustine’s Confessions, we acknowledge that God created us and that therefore we are restless until we rest in Him. And we pray that He will create this school also to be restless until it fulfills its calling to be a Christian school. May we be tireless in the pursuit of this vision.

We also ask that God would lead us to such belief that we would come to understand all the fullness of truth. We pray for that belief which enables us to see the world as God sees it.

Saint Augustine’s Academy is engaged in a great work of cultural restoration and renewal. This work will take generations to come to fruition, just as the building of Western civilization took generations. We commit our labor to the Lord and trust that it will prosper in His hand and in His time.
